Why don't you publish fixed pricing?
Healthcare operations vary enormously — a 5-provider group and a 2,000-provider health system have completely different integration surface areas, compliance requirements, and support needs. Publishing a single price list would either over-charge small teams or under-serve large ones. We scope every quote to your actual requirements.
How long does implementation typically take?
Most Starter and Professional implementations go live within 24 hours for certified EHR connections. Custom connectors for legacy or proprietary systems typically take 2–4 weeks depending on API availability. Enterprise implementations with dedicated environments average 2–6 weeks from contract to production.
Is a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) included on every plan?
Yes. A BAA is executed before any PHI flows through Overlay on all plans, including Starter. There's no additional charge or separate process — it's part of standard onboarding.
How is pricing structured — per user, per transaction, or flat?
Pricing is primarily scoped to your active provider count and integration complexity. There are no per-transaction or per-query fees. You get a clear monthly or annual rate with no usage surprises.
Can I start on Starter and upgrade later?
Absolutely. Plan migrations are handled by your Overlay team with no downtime. When your provider volume or integration count grows past the Starter thresholds, we proactively work with you on a smooth transition.
